КОТКА

Once upon a time there lived a yellow cat.

In the modern world, it often happens that a person presents the history of a group of people, nation, ethnic group, subculture or social stratum, repeating information that does not come from his personal beliefs or knowledge. These processes shape public attitudes that create stereotypes. In response to this trend, art is taking over the functions of the media, namely – to set reliable information codes corresponding to the personal legend of the individual.
“Yellow Cat” is a show about the life of a woman ready for anything for her son’s happiness. The four actors tell her story using the means of documentary theater, contemporary dance, stand up comedy and fairy tale. They “follow” her on the way from her native country through Bulgaria to her as yet unwritten future.

The event is organized as part of the project “Raising the awareness of the Bulgarian society and migrant communities in Bulgaria,” implemented by the International Organization for Migration and funded by the National Program of Bulgaria under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund 2014–2020.
